Google updates it PageRank info ~ Check the current PageRank of your Site & also get to know more about it!

Good news for all the fellow bloggers. Recently Google has updated its Page rank info in the google toolbar and now many of good bloggers should see an increment in their PageRank. We just started our blog 3 months back now it is really glad for us to know that our Page rank is 1. Well I know this is not at all a good figure but obviously we can’t expect more being a new blogger. Thanks to all the followers and readers of our Blog for their kind support towards our blog, without which it really would have been impossible to gain such achievements in a short time.

The second last update of Google’s PageRank was somewhere in the first week of April, 2009. Now Google has again updated it couple of days back, just two months after the last update[i.e., May 28th, 2009].
If you want to know about Google PageRank then please read below…

What is this PageRank?

Page Rank in short, is the importance of a certain web-page in Google’s View. Google has described in the following manner…

PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page’s value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves "important" weigh more heavily and help to make other pages "important".

So it means that the more your have back links of your Web site the more Page Rank you can expect for your Site. However there are certain points to take into account…

  • Back Link will increase your PR only if the back link is trust worthy, Having a Spam site or a Black HAT SEO site linking you back should decrease your PR , and you may even get punished from Google. So do not ask for Link exchange from random sites. So far here at greenTechspot we have faced many Link exchange offers but we have denied all of them! But still Google is happy with what we have and has gifted us the first PageRank.
  • Having a low PageRank does not mean that you have a low quality  Web site or have a low traffic. It just means you have very less GOOD back links of your Site. Keep up the good work and you will surely get your PageRank very soon.
  • If you can make a good internal Network of your Site and can do a better SEO then it is likely to get your first PageRank very soon

These are merely very few but important points of Google’s PageRank. To know more about it you can see this Wikipedia Article
