Do you have a slower Internet connection and have to wait for minutes before the Gmail loads properly? We know that it can really be irritating to wait for 5-10 minutes [well even more in some slower connections] and ultimately see there is nothing much important in the Inbox. Well if this is your problem then it seems Peter Balsiger, the Software Engineer at Gmail Labs team has the perfect solution. He has made an addon to the Gmail Labs which will show you a static preview while Gmail loads fully on your browser. It is just like as the image shown above. Please read below to know how to activate it
- Goto settings > Labs tab from your Gmail inbox
- Scroll down until you see the Inbox Preview Lab Addon
- Simply enable it and click on Save Changes at the bottom of the Page.
You are done. Now when your browser loads your page you can get a simple and static preview of your Gmail Inbox in plain HTML.
When to Use?
Use it only if you have slower connection. As in faster broadband connection Gmail loads really fast so it will not be necessary to activate this Lab feature. Personally I will be using this while traveling to some places where Internet is really damn slow!
